Best Movies of the Decade

I don't think I saw ten movies that came out this year, much less ten great ones, but I can think of ten really great movies of the past decade. In alphabetical order:

Bus 174
Children Of Men
Inland Empire
In The Mood For Love
Into The Wild
Memento
The New World
Synecdoche, New York
Tarnation
Where The Wild Things Are

I know that I've missed a lot over the last ten years, so let me know in the comments if you think of anything essential that might replace something on the list.

Lots of movies I loved this decade.

Battle Royale, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Shaun of the Dead, Bad Santa, Being John Malkovich, 28 Days Later, Inglourious Basterds, Up, The Prestige, Waking Life, American Psycho, Punch-Drunk Love, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I saw a striking Portuguese movie called "Alice" from Cannes in 2005. I'm sure I could think of a lot more, but the above were poached from other lists.

I was not a big fan of Children of Men, but thought Synechdoche was amazing.

I can't find Alice on Netflix, I'm down though. Did you go to Cannes in 2005?

Children of Men was amazing, you just can't admit it to yourself. Ask Omar.

Yeah i'm not sure where you could find Alice, there's an imdb page for it that apparently has a trailer here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0459072/

It was so good that even though I was watching it in Portuguese with French subtitles I was still impressed. Not much dialogue in there anyway.

I didn't exactly go to Cannes, I was in Paris for a film course during the festival, and local theaters were showing the films shortly after their showing at Cannes.

P.S. Get the hell out of my house.
